Day one
Our great friends arrived in Georgia Friday night after their long drive from Nashville. 3 kids and 2 dogs in tow luggage tied to the roof of the car. Its always great to see them they our like family and our son and theirs are good friends although they don't get to see each other much. And I got to see my second favorite dog the corn dog nugget Puggle named Pepe` ( I think le pew! little fart machine he is ) that is so fat he looks like cheese is ready to burst from over cooking ! Ok on with the report/review maybe... this will be long. Had Drinks I think I made some food .. hmmm what was it Ahhh thanks Mary it was nothing as everyone already ate. so we had some drinks caught up some and the kids all went crazy and the 4 dogs got acquainted with Zoe the great mother in law who watched them all while we were gone. sleep time Day two
Wake up, pour cereal down the kids throats coffee and as my case may be coke/dr pepper.. and get re packed and ready tagging bags making sure we have everything. double and triple checking , getting all the kids there lanyards for their sign and sail cards.. and we are off! Made it to the end of our neighborhood and I forgot something what was it? ______________ back to the house again! Ok now we are off , quick stop at Dollar General LOL then off ... nice drive down to Statesboro GA for a rest stop

and back again South US 25 to interstate 16 SE towards Savannah.
a lot of long Interstate driving here not a lot to see ran a good 70-80+mph here, couldn't get the boys to figure out or remember why there are gates on the east bound on and off ramps and backward street signs (Hint it has to do with storms) nice drive to SB Interstate 95 a little slow down here a lot of Savannah traffic.. but as we cleared the metro area back to a nice flow going through the inter water ways lots and lots of marsh and tributaries and guess they have here? a WHATABURGER!!!! (yes we stopped but on the way back) any way a few google pics of the area I hope

Saw a lot of wild fire damage, but have to say it was real cool seeing the new green plants and palms growing from the blackened woody parts of the scrub palms and brush. great fast drive from here on out made a stop for Fuel and rest rooms down a bit think it was about here...

and then back on the road.. yes we took our time, and still did the drive in about 7.8 hours after we left Augusta! that stop was US 1 (Dixie Highway) and I 95 Deeper deeper south LOL.
not much else until we get to the Cape. * Besides the attack of some weird Florida black fly matting season covering the front of our new Sportage !!!! and yes they were matting as they were at the hotel as well butt to butt stuck together all over( I still don't have them all off 4 washes!) We arrived at Country inn Suites on Astronaut Blvd in Cape Canaveral this is the closest hotel to the port , we did the package sleep and cruise MORE INFO we all liked it and I felt it was $ well spent; here is the deal for those wanting to know.
- Parking at port is $15.00 a day
- Hotel stay one night, pool, free breakfast, bus/van to port, and parking all included @ about 169+tax (think it was 183.0) for 4 per room

so what else about the hotel? well there are some fast food places close by, meh... we decided to go to the port to http://www.grillsseafood.com/ unfortunately the night we were there was also the Cigarette boat races and a big flea market or something and well it was a 2 hour wait or more for the 8 of us and the other places seemed to be having VIP party's for the crews and such . well that was a bust and everyone (besides the kids were getting a bit cranky.. we all wanted a drink and some food ! ) I decided that we should head into Coco Beach and see what we can find.. we drove and drove south finally I turned found an access road , paid the meter and got out to the OCEAN!!!!!! what a sight! here are a couple pictures to show how happy every one was getting to the water finally and truly starting our vacations !

I forgot to take pictures of a lot I wanted to thanks to Mike for getting a lot on the ship first day ... I was so worried making sure Len and Shari had a good time I forgot to do my thing sometimes :O !
some more info on this Hotel, the pool closes at 6 pm ! ... no it did not and there were people out having a great time until the wee hours . I think that is posted in case some get to out of control so don't worry like I did and hide in the room ordering Domino's Pizza .. but thats ok I wanted to be up and ready for the 4 minute ride to the port... ready here it comes!
Day three
Wake up... now let me tell you a little about me on vacation and normal days ... I hate getting up early! I like to sleep sleep sleep, seems on vacation I have some special alarm clock that makes me wake at 3 am no mater if I "pass out" at 2 am LOL .... so I wake p watch a movie on HBO or TBS or what ever is not an infomercial and take a shower wake the family and crawl from my skin as I can't wait for what ever it is ..now its been a month and I am a bit blurry but I think everyone got up and we all did a little pool and cuzzi time after Breakfast went up to the rooms to get ready and got called that the shuttle was ready an hour early (now this was cool as we got there late and the time we got was 1145 // it was 1030 when they called YAY!!!! this means we get on and can find a seat on the lido on the Starboard Side as 3 of us are smokers ..
this would become our morning meeting area or anytime meet area as me and Mary love to sit here in the shade of the veranda deck and have our DoD or bucket of beer or I my Smuggled drinks (well this time I orderd a Liter of Sky Vodka for $40 from Bon Voyage 1-800-522-7648 many things avalible call you can not order on line must call cost varies , yes its more than the loccal store but not bad for a FULL liter not a 5th (.750) and not a handle(1.750) but much cheaper than at the bar .. now we still buy much more than we should most likely but none of us got drunk (and this is new for me LOL , but I wanted to really enjoy ur friends having a good time) and even more there kids! so here s a spot that I hope I can get some notes from them on the first day on ship
